The beach wedding of Meghan and Dan

Asbury Park, July 31st, 2020. Live band. Open patio seating with a cool summer breeze. It was 7:30 so beach photos needed to happen quickly to capture the gorgeous purple sunset.

Meghan darted onto the boardwalk and slid through the railing to get onto the beach. Holding up her dress, she ran across the sand, wasting no time. The rest of the wedding party however took the easy ramp down instead.

There was another photo shoot happening no more than 50 feet away. It was a pregnancy shoot and the woman had a white dress with the very prominent bump cut out.

At this point my wife and I decided it was time to go. So we left.

Oh, we weren’t invited to the wedding. We don’t know Meghan and Dan.

We were just spectators among a group of people on the boardwalk.

In those few minutes, we had completely forgotten that we were in a global pandemic. In those few minutes, we had experienced some of the joy that was the beach wedding of Meghan and Dan.
