Zoom Wedding 2020

Our friends Brian and Paula were planning on a small wedding gathering in October. But after 6 months of quarantine there’s still has no end in sight. The happy couple decided instead to do a short ceremony with the help of everyone’s favorite teleconference program, Zoom.

Brian and Paula popped up on the screen at 5:00pm with matching Groom and Bride est 2020 face masks. I’m sure a year ago, neither of them would have predicted that these face masks would be part of their wedding apparel.

After a quick sound test the ceremony began. A family friend officiated and kept it brief. Before we knew it, the bride and groom were exchanging rings and giving their personalized vows.

Next, came the toasts – well a toast started and was interrupted by someone on the call that went something like this…

“Brian! It’s Howard, can you hear me? I wanted to say congratulations!”

Thank you Howard, we’re doing toasts now.

“Oh a toast, I don’t really know what to say, just wanted to congratulate you guys. Want me to go get your dad back on here?”

It’s ok, thank you.

It was pretty funny to be honest. And the Zoom Wedding turned out beautiful and spectacular. We are so happy to be a part of it.

The cliche saying goes, life is about the journey. Things don’t go according to plan. They never do. So don’t get too hung up on your plans. Enjoy the ride, because everything will turn out alright.
