At some point, it needs to be real for it to count. Whether it’s trading with real money, or putting your content into the public for people to see (and possibly judge).
Practice is important to build skill and confidence. But when there are real stakes, failure is a harsh and effective teacher. Make sure the failures are small so you can recover and regain confidence from what you’ve learned.
You may make the same mistakes over and over. As long as you learn from them, and they’re not so big that they put you out of the game, they’re not real failures.
