Life is About Growth. It’s About Change.

It’s Valentine’s Day and we decided we wanted to celebrate with one of our favorite movies Thor Ragnarok. Towards the end of the film (spoiler alert!) Thor says this line, “See Loki, life is about. It’s about growth, it’s about change, but you seem to just want to stay the same. I guess what I’m trying to say is that you’ll always be the god of mischief, but you could be more.”

In the context of the movie series, we’ve seen Thor fall for Loki’s holographic cloning trick a dozen times. In Ragnarok, Thor predicts Loki’s double cross and had slapped on a zappy obedience disc on his back ahead of time.

In effect, the plot of Ragnarok had forced Thor to change. He became way more powerful than ever before and at least slightly smarter, being able to predict Loki’s next betrayal.

Whether it was due to Thor’s comment or something else, Loki had also started to act “good” with him directing the band of Korg’s revolution fighters to help evacuate the Asgardians.

Bringing this to real life. It’s good to take a moment to evaluate if you’ve become stagnant. Are you becoming predictable? Are you still growing in your skills, knowledge, personal development?

Make sure you’re always growing and changing. Always be moving forward, you can always be “something more”.
