Everyone’s got one, and they mostly stink. Maybe you object and say, “Hey, I wash my butt! It doesn’t stink!” The issue is that the stinky excuse (and maybe butt) affects other people so they are the ultimate judge of it’s legitimacy.
That’s right, you don’t get to decide if your excuses are acceptable.
Stop making excuses.
